With key clients prioritising sustainability and looking to demonstrate their building’s green credentials, CMW has upskilled. With a great track record in implementing our Environmental Management System, the CMW team has made the step to the next level coordinating with consultants, subcontractor, Client and Tenant stakeholders to achieve third party recognition of best practice and Australian excellence in sustainability.
With the client’s requirements not often clearly captured in design briefs or principals project requirements, CMW must sift through planning documentation and sustainability management plans to define deliverables. Our team of experienced consultants then work with the project manager to determine a Greenstar pathway. Once the target pathway is established, the subcontractor scopes are developed and implemented by the team.
Project goals depend on the client and market requirements. A project may target best practice or excellence and may choose certification or to achieve a benchmark without certification. Many subcontractors and suppliers are already offering sustainable materials and practices to maintain competitiveness in a challenging market. As a result, we find most of the cost of achieving certification is associated with the documentation and information management required to demonstrate the pathway goals have been met, verified and accredited. Full accreditation can take six to twelve months after PC to close out.
CMW is proud of our track record in delivering sustainable designed, constructed and operated buildings. We take our commitment to the environment and responsibility to future generations seriously. CMW are proud of our efforts and ability to contribute to the sustainability of the environment in which we operate.
