Lincraft Merrifield Progress Update
26 September 2023

Situated in Melbourne's rapidly developing northern corridor, the Lincraft Merrifield project marks a significant step forward towards completion.

Despite facing adverse weather conditions, the project has maintained its course and is currently progressing right on schedule.  We are pleased to announce that construction has successfully surpassed the halfway mark, achieving key milestones that demonstrate the project's steady advancement:

  1. Steel Structure:  The steel framework for the facility is now fully erected, giving shape to the form of the upcoming warehouse and office.
  2. Precast Elements:  Installation of precast elements is well underway, with the current focus on feature precast concrete panels with stamped brickwork on the office facade.  This architectural detail promises a distinctive and visually appealing aspect to the facility.
  3. Wall Cladding:  The process of installing wall cladding has commenced, setting up for the warehouse slab pours to follow.
  4. Roofing:  Roof installation is nearing completion, ensuring the facility is protected from the elements, significantly reducing the impact of inclement weather on future activities.
  5. Concrete Slabs:  Concreters are gearing up to commence work on the warehouse slabs, the next critical step towards the completion of the project.

Furthermore, the Lincraft Merrifield project is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved.  To this end, the project team has implemented the Hammertech safety management system.  This system has been wholeheartedly embraced by both site management and contractors, contributing significantly to the overall safety and efficiency of the project.

The CMW project management team continues to work closely with Lincraft and their project managers Turner & Townsend.  The whole project team is excited about the progress being made on this exceptional facility, which is poised to bolster our operations and customer service capabilities.  We remain grateful for the dedication and hard work of the entire project team and the support of the Lincraft on this project.
