CMW Design & Construct is excited to announce that we have achieved third-party certification of our Environmental Management System (EMS).

With the industry focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship, this certification underscores our long-standing commitment to these principles.  For over thirty years, our tailored Environmental Management Plan has been integral to both the design and construction phases of our projects, ensuring progressive and effective implementation of sustainable practices.

Recently, we updated the construction aspect of our plan using the Melbourne Water and Victorian EPA Construction EMP template.  This template, developed in collaboration with local government, promotes consistent and effective management of construction-related environmental impacts.  It has become a standard for local councils in Melbourne’s growth corridors, and its adoption by CMW facilitates our compliance with typical planning requirements.

Following alignment of our standard documents with the authority recommendations, it was a straightforward step to engage in the certification process.  With enthusiastic support from across the company, Certification has been achieved after audits of site and head office operations.
